BHUTAN TALK FOR LOCAL TORIES

Christchurch Conservatives enjoyed an illustrated talk on the Kingdom of Bhutan given by their Chairman Bryon Huson who had holidayed in the mountain kingdom. The customs, traditions, lifestyle, food, government and religion were explained and members viewed spectacular photographs of the kingdom.

Bryon gave his talk dressed in traditional Bhutan costume and after his informative and amusing presentation he answered members questions.

Among the audience were David Evennett and his wife Marilyn, Ward Councillors Roy Ashmole and James Spencer and Association Deputy Chairman Cllr. Joe Pollard.

Pictured are Bryon Huson in Bhutan traditional dress and Maureen King who helped organise the refreshments.
